Уважаемые посетители!

С 9 февраля 2021 г. возобновляется работа читальных залов и личный прием граждан руководством НИА Беларуси.

Работа в читальных залах будет организована с учетом соблюдения санитарных норм, в том числе в части социального дистанцирования, ограничения количества одновременно работающих в помещении посетителей, соблюдения масочного режима и по предварительной записи.

Reading Room № 1 (office № 11) is opened:

  • Tuesday to Thursday: 9.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9.00 a.m. – 6.45 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9.00 a.m. – 3.15 p.m.
  • Sunday, Monday: closed

Reading Room № 2 (office № 10) is opened:

  • Tuesday to Thursday: 9.00 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.
  • Friday: 9.00 a.m. – 4.15 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday, Monday: closed

Reading Room’s № 1 (office № 11) opening hours in summer (between June 1st and August 31th): :

  • Tuesday to Thursday: 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.

All visitors who are of age are allowed to work with the records kept at the National Historical Archives of Belarus after presenting an ID (e.g. passport). Registration of visitors takes place in the reading room of the archives in person. A visitor card is issued after presenting an ID (e.g. passport).

Requests for archival items through email chit.zal@niab.by are accepted only from the registered visitors with the registration number/the date of registration as well as  second name, first name and patronymic name, and the date of visit (for out of town visitors) indicated in the email. The time frame for orders to be collected in the reading room can be enquired on tel. 363 43 09.

Archival records are provided to visitors on the basis of the correctly completed order forms. The following information must be included in the order form:

  • second name, initials of the visitor;
  • research topic;
  • data of the finding aids (numbers of fond, inventory numbers, items in the ascending order);
  • titles of the archival items;
  • date of order

It should be noted that:

1. The reading room works without lunch breaks.

2. The reading room is closed during national holidays, and closes 1 hour earlier on the eve of the holidays

3. Visitors are not allowed into the reading room 30 min before closing

4. Return of the items to the staff of the reading room should take place no later than 30 min before closing.
